PILF Spring Event & Auction 2014
Saturday, February 22, 2014

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Public Interest Law Foundation's 21st Annual Spring Event & Auction on February 22, 2014! Please check back for updates regarding next year's event or visit our Donation Page to make a contribution in support of the PILF Summer Grant Program.

The Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) works to increase awareness of the rewards, challenges, opportunities, and needs in public interest law. Over the past two decades, PILF has created and supported a number of programs that enable students to explore and engage in public interest careers, such as the law school’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program, job shadowing and networking events, and PILF’s Public Interest Summer Grant Program.

The Spring Event & Auction is PILF’s signature event. This is a celebration and fundraiser for the Summer Grant Program, which provides funding to Seattle University School of Law students who seek to work in summer jobs at nonprofit or public agencies that offer little to no pay. Engaging in activities such as these increases the likelihood that students will pursue social justice endeavors, as shown by the many grantees who have gone onto careers in public interest as public defenders, legal aid attorneys, and nonprofit leaders.
